Hi all,
While twisting around to examine the condition of the deck underside.... ... I cracked the heads seat free, breaking the hinges. Always a week before launch....

I haven't a clue what make the sea toilet is, other than it has a bowl that is marked royal doulton (and is 30+ years old)

Any pointers of where to go for a replacement please? (either seat or lid, or something I can fudgineer hinges-wise)

Cheers,

Trev

I have 1978-79 Seal Sinbad 22 and the last thing I did at the last visit was to disconnect the sea toilet ready to chuck it away! It's yours if you want it but I do know the hinges are already broken. I can't remember what make it is but I'm sure it's pot. PM me if you want it, I would love my bog to find a good home!

Thanks very much, but only in need of a seat at the moment, assuming of course I don't break the bowl while trying to get the remains of the hinges off...

As your boat will soon be a Classic, how about making a nice wooden one, much warmer to sit on oh and don't forget a small library close at hand, just an idea! Not very practical though, sorry, no other suggestions.

Can you not just buy a regular household seat and lid. I did this with my Jabsco toilet and the hinges were a perfect match.

I'm in Cornwall, good for boating but poor for getting anywhere!

Replacing the hinges sounds like an interesting idea if I can find some the right size...
