Need to replace my batteries soon. I am looking for cheap supplier on line.

I need 85Ah Start battery
2 x 85Ah Leisure batteries
1x 110-135 Ah Leisure battery

Any ideas?
Anyone used Tayna.co.uk?

I used

www.batteries4leisure.co.uk

Once carriage of 3 batteries were taken into account theyt were only marginally cheaper than a special offer at a chandler.

The engine starting battery from them failed within a year. It appeared to be a leisure battery ie exactly the same size and weight but with the stick on labels removed.

I replaced it with a starter battery from a local motor factor on the local industrial estate - very similiar price.

Regards

I have bought a battery from them recently, arrived well packed and very promptly.

Thanks for the replies.
I phoned Dauntless (Camvey island)
They have Squadron 85Ah start and leisure batteries at £49.95 and 110 at £67 inc VAT.

Far and away cheaper than any of the online stores.

Start batterys ... HD Diesel van batterys ... from trade suppliers to truck / van companys.

Leisure batterys from caravan shops .........

I am also known to frequent Scrap yards for good batterys from car wrecks ... they test the battery when you buy .. often battery is near new or at least excellent - as it's a crashed car ... Typical price I found 5 - 10 pound for normal sizes ... 15 quid for HD larger jobs ...

I've started researching this too and, based on advice from some renowned Moody Owners, plan on buying AGM batteries.

They are more expensive than wet batteries, but better value over the long term.

So I would just say be careful buying TOO cheap and regretting it later.

Left the batteries running on the boat by mistake for 3 weeks.
They hold a charge, but are not charging fully. The Webasto heating cutout after and hour and a half, which simply will not do for Mrs FC.
