Advice please

My current log / speedo is a Walker Trident Mk 4 !! after two or three years with it not working I have finnally got thro the list of criticaal jobs and started to look at the reason why it (and the repeater) is not working.

The main box of tricks is totally corroded, the PCB's covered in white and green etc. Therefore after 30 years service we will have to replace it.

I would like to keep the orrinal padle wheel sender which is in good condition as it would be a major pain to replace an re run the wire from the front of the boat to the cockpit.

My question is - Will the current generation of logs work with the old paddle wheel ?

I only want a simple speed and trip as a back up to the main GPS chart plotter.

Advice please

Thanks - Seadog

Thanks yoda, an exact replacement would be good as it would fit on the over chart table woodwork and cover all of the old marks.

I will wait for your message before getting the wallet out for a new one.

Regards - Seadog.

I dug out the unit from the loft, it's a mini trident Mk3p 0-10 kts. Also have the analogue speed indicator that goes with it. You are welcome to try it out. Drop me a PM.
