Replacement johnson pump lip seals

Just received my new pump, I have a replacement I ring to fit the pump but I have a feeling I need a lip seal as I can see the bearing on the pump. It has a lip seal inside but does another lip seal go on the outside of the pump

Is there any liquid on the side of the pump with the exposed bearing and is it a sealed bearing i.e. one with a metal or plastic side cover, or is it one where you can see the actual balls or their carrier?

Google parts list for pump and check there may Even be an internal seal

You dont say what engine this is for but
From the impeller chamber you should see a lip seal

From the drive end , assuming it is directly driven from the engine ( not by a belt) you should see one of the bearings. There is not a lip seal between the engine and the bearings because engine oil will lubricate them

Johnson 10-35157-3. Bought it from asap I can see the bearings. I'll give them a call now might be best.

Sorted thanks the 2 lip seals are inside the pump back to back already fitted .should be out now on Thursday Friday chilling around anglesey with the kids ,I'm not a sailed yet so.need to make sure engine is 100% .

Managed to fit it today it's a bukh dv20 the new pump i fitted had a slightly larger diameter and I had to butcher the bracket a bit. Luckily I had a hacksaw on board.
