Replacement glass for a Nauticalia fastnet lamp

Hi guys,

Last weekend during an attempt to re fill my lamp on a bumpy trip from Weymouth to Plymouth I managed to smash the globe of my lamp. I have found this web site that has loads of spares but as the globe was in so many peices I'm not sure of the correct dimensions.

Phone Nauticalia for a replacement - that's what I did, and they sent me one, after giving CC details over the phone.

Well I dunno, methinks Nauticalia needs a name change. The catalogues seem to progressively have less and less for us nautical types. It seems more geared towards people who have everything but have dosh to squander on unnecessary stuff. Nantucket style basketry? Giant chess set? Full length leather coat? They'll be useful on the boat! Not saying people aren't going to buy the stuff, just they seem to be drifting away from origins. I bought the boxed set of Arthur Ransome a few months back. Now the oil lamp mentioned above doesn't even appear! Now if you want a hat and watch to make you look like an extra in 'Hunt for Red October' Nauticalia is the place to go! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Haven't they been that way for last 10 or more years? No difference I can see.
