Replacement Cutless Bearing - What size?

Jeanneau advise that replacement cutlass bearing is 47.62o/a dia x 139.7lg (shaft is 35)

Looking at the asap?website it gives a size of 35 x 50 x140. I e mailed them stating Jeanneau size is 47.62 and asking is 50 a nominal size reference to fit inside a 50 hole and they replied no its 50 o/a dia!

I have difficulty believing that Jeanneau are a special size.

Can anyone advise please.

Any names of suppliers for the metal housed bearing apart from asap

47.62mm is 1.875" an inch and 7/8ths so you might need a 809724 metric/imperial model from ASAP. Maybe Jeanneau like pick and mix?

Try Lake Engineering in Poole. See here They say they keep stocks of Gibsea and Beneteau sizes as well as mixed imperial/metric.

Can't advise on size, the bearing is on the boat!

I don't remember it being an odd size.

You could try Westways in Plymouth - their engineer Ben is very knowledgeable.

With the demise of Seaventures they were the ones who measured the Jeanneau plastic one at 47.62!!

Just came back to thread to post my amazing discovery that 47.62 is 1 and 6.9984/8 call it 7/8!! to find you have beaten me to it.

I always assumed the shaft was 35mm but will now check that.

What a stupid boy thinking a french boat would be metric when they call it a 43!!

35mm is very close to 1 inch and 3/8ths (34.925mm) so maybe either would do!

Bear in mind the biggest market for Jeanneau is always the USA so...

I'm having the club change ours after we lift out tomorrow and I think it is the same size as yours.
