Replacement bilge pump cover

My bilge pump is situated in the cockpit. It has a removable steel handle and a plastic hinged lid which clips down to cover the bilge pump when not in use. Recently, a blonde person who shall remain nameless stepped on it and broke the cover.

The cover is about 4" square and hinged. It has a plastic backing piece which is held to the deck by 4 screws, and a hole in this backing piece for the handle when the lid is open.

Any ideas on something which might be used as a replacement?

Speak to your local Jabsco or Whale agent- it's a thru-deck fitting that's manufacturer-specific.

OK cheers. I may look into the brunette issue noswelplease by withholding the crewmember's hair dye allowance.
