repairing painted inflatable

..... right, following advice here, I have just painted Tigger's inflatable tender (PVC started going sticky). The result looks reasonably good (BTW, OMG how expensive the paint is, though).

Something came to my mind: what happens when we have a puncture? How do you repair a painted PVC surface? Anyone tried?
