Has anyone attempted a self repair?

I have a B&G Hydra H2000 Processor that isn't sending enough wigglies (4.5v) to the speed transducer. I am out in Thailand and would like to try and repair it if possible. Has anyone tried this before and can give me some pointers on where to look?

No idea either, but as a fallback if you get no productive answers try ringing Tinley. http://www.tinleyelectronics.com/home.htm

I've found them to be helpful when I've asked questions about Stowe kit.

Excellent, many thanks for that contact, I will send them an email and see what they say!

There is a knowledgable lady there who will give some advice, BUT as she said last time I spoke to her, we are in the business of repairing them ourselves!
Stu

That, I fully understand.
It is actually for work, I have two, one that is definitely not playing ball and is fitted on the bridge at the moment and another on my desk waiting to replace it, I will probably have a minor glance before I send it off but will get in contact with them and see what they say. It is a yacht btw and I generally only come here for sailing advice but seeing as it's so close to what I would use on my own boat I thought I would ask the knowledge base here first. Thank you all for your replies!

I prefer sending work to smaller UK companies as generally I don't get any BS and it's done quickly and without fuss.
