Repair to an Avon dinghy

A acquaintance noticed my dinghy was leaking on my berth in the summer, he kindly offered to take it away and fix it, he's between jobs and I'm very busy at work. This was at the beginning of August. He still hasn't repaired it. I have rang him about this and he said he's waiting for the weather to improve, whatever that means. Will I ever see this dinghy again?
