I've been searching this site and many others, but can't quite seem to find the workshop manuals I'm looking for. I have a set of TAMD74EDC-High Performance motors, and one needs a new exhaust pipe. And I don't want to put the new one on without the proper torque sequence, as they are cast iron, and I don't wanna have another issue with cracking. Any and all insight is hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance

You can buy the manuals from VP

Manuals & Handbooks | Volvo Penta

You will be very lucky if you can find a free one online

Which part, exactly, are you needing to change, how many bolts hold it on ?

I agree.

My theory is that the manufacturer will supply an "Owner's Manual", "Service Manual" and "Operator's Manual" because they are supplied by the manufacturer as part of their service.

When it comes to " Workshop Manuals" they are prepared by private people and they expect (quite rightly) to be paid for their efforts.

He does not need an engine specific workshop manual just for torque setting or sequence. A flange is a flange is a flange, if is has x bolts it will need to be tightened using the x bolt flange tightening sequence and if it has y bolts they will need to be tightened to y bolt torque.

It's worth noting that Volvo Penta prepare their own workshop manuals.

Correct, mostly... I am a auto mechanic by trade, so I like to have info that is as specific as possible. Just a preference of mine.

At the moment, I need to change out the cracked exhaust pipe in my port side motor. And it has 12 bolts that probly should be replaced when you change it out. I imagine they get torqued to yield, like many of the things I work on every day.

So after reaching out to various people throughout the boating world, here's what I was able to come up with... The workshop manual for the engine and wiring diagrams were too big to post here do if anyone needs them, just PM me.

no sure how to PM on this platform but I’m the in process of buying a boat with the TAMD 74 and would very much appreciate the workshop and wiring diagrams. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Chaz, really useful. Do you still have a copy of the full manual? If so, my email is westcorkcharters@gmail.com
If not, those that you shared are really helpful anyway.
Thanks again

Hi Guys,
I am trying to remove the raw water salt water pump housing from the engine TAMD74 EDC not sure how the remove the 2inch pipe along the back into the pump

Can anyone help me with the procedure of how to remove the raw water sea pump from the engine

I have issues with separating the piping at the rear

I'll be on my boat on Thursday installing my new turbocharger, I can take a look then. The inlet pipe is just connected to a hose so I assume you're asking about the outlet pipe?
