All the edges of my cockpit lockers have what looks like a semi circular bite mark chipped off them..

the lip is about 2-3mm thick, but it lets in water, so they fill up every time it rains.

its there an easy way to repair the lip? At the moment, I've just used gaffer tape, but it's not waterproof.

I would imagine using fibreglass sheet across the gap would increase the thickness of the lip too much, so I'm not sure if that would cause problems?

Thanks for the reply, sorry I haven't got a picture to hand...

If you imagine a piece of very thick card and someone has taken a semi circular bite mark out of the edge of it, that's my situation - I'm not sure how I can "fill" a hole like that, as there's nothing behind to attach to?...

Then you need to grind the damaged area to about 15 degrees on both sides so you have an area to glass onto.

Wrap a bit of timger in cling wrap and put in one side and glass the other, then when cured, glass the other side, sand and your done.

You could leave the repair a little low and fill with gelcoat or finish even and paint.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
