I'm replacing/refinishing all the wood thats been stained with some horrible thick paint like wood stain. Any ideas how to remove it without damaging the anodising on the aluminium sprayhood rail and traveller?

I thought about T-cut but it's a fiddly shape and pretty thick and will require a huge amount of elbow grease!

Anyone know where I can get some new sprayhood rail?

I'd be working up through scrapers... hard plastic, ally sheet, brass sheet, steel etc. to get the majority off. Then go for the T-cut for last bit of staining.
Could also try thinners eg for antifoul. Paint stripper?
