Any Ideas? Painted bottom with international 2-part Poly yesterday, I have tried Acetone, swafega, detergent, nail brush & pumis stone, still cannot get the stuff off my hands. It is ingrained into the pores and round the edge to my nails.

It\'ll wear off...

It'll wear off in a few days, and this is probably preferable to attacking your hands with more chemicals. Many people find that it's advisable to wear gloves when painting the bottom of a boat, and some paint manufacturers even specify it on the tin.

Those days I always wear gloves for everything. I am not trying to be smug. Just saying what I do now.

There is no solvent that will remove it when set which will be safe on your skin.

Use ordinary soap (I use carex) and water and one of those small sponges with a layer of green at one side. Just work on each finger in turn.

It will take a little while, but this is the safest way to do it and it actually works.

Cheers

you might try carb cleaner in the spray can, prob too late now, but the stuff washes epoxie and 2 part right off, wash immediately after, very hard on skin..

Re: thinners no 9 or two part poly = nitrile rubber gloves

Thinners no9 are harmful by skin absorption

Nitrile rubber gloves should be worn when using 2 part poly or thinners no 9
