Removing rust stains from beige carpet

Any tips please ? Rust marks have come from the base of the steel table leg.

Oxalic acid usually the most effective thing to remove rust stains ... at least from hard surfaces.

For a carpet though ??

alternatively check out what is avaialble in "Stain Devils"

Suspect you will need to rinse well with some dilute citric acid or vinegar to remove all traces of the dissolved rust or the stain may well return.

Lemon juice and salt worked on my upholstery. Had to repeat application several times a day over several days. 100% effective.

+1 for lemon juice and salt, but I've found it also needs strong sunlight to work its magic.
