removing old Weaver Snap Davit pads

Hi, I've recently acquired a PVC Quicksilver 270 inflatable that has some pretty grotty snap davit pads attached to it that I want to remove. Is there a safe way to do this without damaging the tube or is it best to leave well alone and just live with them looking a bit tardy as it'd look worse with them removed? many thanks Gary

I bought a set of those secondhand off here and was told by the vendor that they used a hairdrier to soften the glue while slowly removing them.
Not done it myself but have the pads that prove it can be done!
