Removing old paint spots from galvanised trailer?

Hi all - I have acquired a second hand trailer. The previous owner has splashed red anti foul all over it and - whilst I accept it is not material to the workings of the trailer - I would like to clean away the paint.

Options appear to be:
  1. Clean away with friction/abrasion - I don’t want to damage the galvanising. It is 100% rust free at present.
  2. Clean away with a solvent - acetone or similar. Does anyone have a view on the best solution and potential impact on galv?
  3. Spray over with ‘galvanising spray paint‘.
This is a purely cosmetic endeavour and id rather not bother than risk damaging the galvanising.
Any comments, tips or experience welcome.

As above.

The galvanising might be quite thin as it would normally not be expected to 'see' any abrasion. Once you break the surface of the gal you have a source area for corrosion.

I'd look out for some cheap gal paint and or cheap aluminium paint and paint over the whole thing. The paint (and the gal paint might be aluminium based) will give you an extra layer of corrosion protection. I would not bother trying to remove the old AF - just over paint.
