Removing Evostick

I,m removing some cork stuck with evo , is there a solvent that will weaken the bond but not to damage the fibreglass gel coat underneath

Toluene (Methyl benzene) is the solvent for Evostik but be careful as the vapour is pretty hazardous, to health as well as being highly flammable. Good ventillation is essential and an "Organic vapours" mask if you are going to be in a confined space with it for more than a minute or two. It is available as Evostik thinner or cleaner

Hot air gun, set to half power and a good scraper. You will know if the temp is too high as it will burst into flames.

PETROL.

easier to get than Toluene or Benzene, and works about as well.

PAINT THINNERS - whatever you have works better, but fumes are worse.

Give it a soak in white spirit. It will then break up without disolving. Removes evostik from the hands too.
