I have an old SL Seawolf 520 12-volt windlass with a foot switch fitted on the foredeck. All in working order.
The windlass is powered in a single direction (up) only.
The solenoid has only 2 connection points – one for the live (+) cable from the battery, and one to the windlass motor (see attached photo).
I want to add a remote-controlled switch which can be operated from the wheelhouse.
My questions to the panel:
- Will this kind of solenoid allow a remote-receiver connection?
- Which kind of remote control for single direction power would be suitable?
