It's a commercial area that changes day by day.

Can someone recommend a simple CCTV (pan and zoom would be fun, but not essential) which could be placed ashore overlooking a small sailing club pontoon please ? A few keen members have volunteered to watch the screen from their desk top or phone so the system needs to be "IP addressable " (I think ) not hard wired

Yes, I am aware of what a CCTV can and can't cover. We just want to find out who is fishing from the pontoon on some nights and leaving fish bits and hooks and line around.

The next post will be about small heat-seeking missiles.

Any IP camera will work.

But.

How is it connecting to the tinternet? It probably needs a port forwarding... Although some will offer other ways.

Do you want "live" or periodic uploads of stills? Do you want "movement" detection or just gonna stare at screen?

Is it lit?

Is it far?

Do you have power?

Check legal requirements - I've feeling you have to put warning signs up.

But forget heat seeking missiles, they make a mess of the pontoon. This is what you want
