In Biscay, I think. They didn't like his routing and wanted to Mayday, he thought no Mayday was required. I remember it and have googled and googled but can't find the blinking thing. Am I hallucinating?
Well, I am sure there was such a story, but it is similar to the story of the skipper in The Perfect Storm who had two ladies aboard and they put out a Mayday, but they made out he was drunk, he said not, and most sailors believed him on his form and subsequent actions. He tried to refuse the heli-lift to safety but had his arm twisted by the USCG.

Didn't see that. But I have a Mac. You can get Safari (the Mac web browser) for Windows machines now. See here It's called a beta but it seems pretty complete. Apple says 'By default, Safari blocks all unprompted new windows.'
