Remachining MoBo Propeller Shaft.

Have a perfectly good used 1.5" propeller shaft which with a bit of machining could be pressed into use again.
New shaft from Norris et al is £600.00
Merely needs shortening by 12" , retapering and a hole drilled for prop shaft clamp pin.
Basically would like it for a spare and ready to go if needed.(Dont ask )
Based in N. Kent, cannot seem to find a local workshop capable of handling the shaft length.
Reluctant to send it half way across the country due to transit costs or enduring the M25.
Experiences or suggestions most welcome.

There are machine shops on the Medway city est ,i am sorry i cannot remember the names as it was several years ago when i worked there.

I know a place in Essex that could do the job. Not exactly half way across the country, but you will need to tackle a bit of the M25, unless you come by boat!
