Worth a watch...a really good video.

I've met Alex and he's just as he comes across on the video...just a normal (ish) guy like any other sailor. However how he (and all of the others) set the autopilot, and go down below to sleep at 25kts plus of boatspeed in a 60' rocket ship made of carbon fibe 2.5mm thick knowing that the nearest human being is either another competitor or someone on the ISS, is beyond me.

Really looking forward to seeing the new Hugo Boss...let's hope he can finally win the next Vendee.

I can’t wait to see how he does. He’s had some epic races. The last one with the footage of him taken by the French navy in the southern ocean with a broken foil, pushing as hard as he could and coming out on deck with the Union Jack still brings a lump to my throat. I hope he can keep the new one in one piece.

However, the corporate packaging is so very slick that somehow is is hard to relate to Alex Thomson as another chap who likes sailing.

Loved the video. Alex seems like a top bloke, I live locally to him would love to meet him one day. What did make me chuckle was even his pillow was covered in hugo boss marketing

Yet... when he was doing his last stint I happened to go shopping and, bought a jacket from a Hugo Boss shop in Cambridge. I asked the manager how Alex was getting on...
