Hi all, hope you are well. We've just purchased a Relcraft 29 and trying to locate the seacocks in order we can winterise them, as we have been advised to do. Also, people have been mentioning about cleaning a weed filter, however, we can't find this for love nor money! Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you 🙂

Welcome to the forum.

Look underneath the boat and where you see holed with mushroom headed fitting there will be seacocks inside the boat. If it has an inboard engine in the middle of the boat there will be one there which will likely have a filter attached. If the engine is in the stern it may not have a seacock as the water intake may be in the drive leg. You may also find 2 more if you have a pump out sea toilet.

However, apart from making sure they work when you turn the handle on the valve inside there is no real winterising required except the filter may need cleaning.

Suggest you get your surveyor or a knowledgeable engineer to talk you through all the systems of your new boat if you intend doing maintenance yourself.
