Big RN rib exploring up by the piles at Mersea on Saturday,and what looked like one of the new style stealth ships anchored in the Wallet off Clacton when I went out on the motorbike yesterday.

Sure it was RN? The local police have two filthy huge ribs permantly moored in Burnham yacht harbour.

Definitely not... The drysuits were coloured, the White Ensign was flying and the helmets had "RN". I recognise the Police RIBS...

I'm no expert, but my guess it that they were the Royal Navy. haha
Being a little more serious, i'm not surprised. I think the level of marine security is being seriously ramped up in preparation for the Olympics.

A few weeks ago, I saw 2 x Police RIBS at Levington, both RIBS had twin 220 outboards!
