My sliding hatch is looking a bit rough and has started to crack at the corners.

Any ideas how I might repair/reinforce it? I need to be careful else it will just go again... On the Starboard side I think it's just the gelcoat chipping off but the port has a definite crack.

Thanks.

grind it out. lightly on the outside, heavily ( 1\;20 taper ) on the inside. Lay up 4 to 8 layers of CSM on the inside. Touch up the gelcoat on the outside, sand and polish (repeat if necessary )

Throw the next person to walk or sit on the hatch cover over the side :)

Agree with the above, but I suspect I would use flow coat rather than Gel coat, they are both the same composition but flow coat has wax added so does not need to be covered, it goes on just like paint.

Good luck and fair winds. :)
