Register your boat

After the past 5 weeks of passing paperwork from pillar to post then next time I buy a boat if it is not already registered then as long as it has more than 5 years continual paperwork it must be registered, the sale has onlygone through because it is now on the road to registry, with hindsight I wish I had done it years ago.

The moral of my story is that the new owner needs finance on it and therefore it must be registered, to do this the paperwork must be absolutely spot on, things like joint ownership also has to be authentic as well, as we were caught out by my late fathers will, it was presented to the registry as a photocopy, and that will not even do, they need to see the real one, so if anyone has a boat that is worth a bit and is not already registered then get the papers in order, spend the money, instead of buying another gizzmo, it will all be worth it when you come to sell it on, trust me, I have had 5 weeks of continual phone calls and faxes all over to finally get there tonight as we speak, trust me I know.
