Does anyone know if there is a register of international call signs allocated to vessels.I understood that a vessel was allocated a call sign when it was first issued with a Radio Licence and that call sign remains with the vessel for the duration of it’s life regardless of changes of ownership. So I was surprised to see a different call sign on the OFCOM validation document relating to my vessel and the call sign in all the ships papers and engraved on the panel next to the VHF set.Ofcom do not reply to my emails and their web site does not seem very helpful. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? Thanks.
