Sold My F Carrera last year and am looking at a Regal 2760 with twin Merc Petrols....Its looks alot of Boat for the money
Is this the right time or should I leave it until next year
Thanks..Y:all

Probably a good time to buy. market has never been strong for twin petrols, will be on its knees right now. If you have the cash, negotiate hard as even mainstream diesel boats are getting harder to shift

Thanks jrb..my thinking entirely. fuel cost are droping and marine interest rates.so when is it going to bottom out??

I wish i could tell you. but, you might get hit by a bus before it does. If you like the boat, want the boat and can get it for a price you think is a good one then go for it.

Remember, there is no such thing as a cheap boat, the best you can hope for is one that costs a little less to start with /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi,

I had a 1998 with twin Volvo V6 Petrols. Sold in 2006 for only £30k! They are not popular second hand. However they are a lot of boat. I used to go through about £100-200 of petrol a weekend with mine so it drinks juice!

Happy to tell more!

How old is the boat and engines ?
MPI or carb ?
raw water cooling ?
depending on answers to questions above,
engines might need some attention / maintenance

I d suggest you decide what its worth to you, and make that offer. Cost in, storage and insurance til next Spring.. ie, the best deal for you. Whether you have to increase your offer or not.. well.. lets see !
I m not sure there are too many buyers for any boats never mind twin petrols right now. So, now you have the choice, and winter. In spring maybe a few more people start thinking of summer boating, and the choice reduces

IMHO,you need to wait until Jan/Feb or so in order for seller to have least resistance to your very "fair" offer.
Summer will still seem ages away and dull freezy weather still prevalent.
Nice bit of slush on the ground and marina mooring invoice about to land on a doormat always helps too
