Regal 2150 window seals

Hi guys

Picked up a Regal 2150 yesterday(99) and the side windows to outside area are leaking at the bottom. There is a convenient ledge for water(rain water yesterday) to lie in and I noticed it was wet behind the trim, so the rubber/foam seal must be perishing ?

Any ideas where I can buy new? or how to extract old ones?

Also, the side windows to cuddy were dripping slightly. Now these are screwed in from the inside. Can I just unscrew, remove the Perspex, clean surround and reseal with silicone? Have just bought a tube of dowcorning for the job.

Any advise,much appreciated.

Hi Simon, try someone like Autoglass for the main screen. A boat owner in Brixham has just had his seals replaced, re the port holes would try taking them off and re sealing.

Had this self same problem with a very early Regal.The cuddy cabin flexed as you went through water/ clambered over it and allowed the sealant behind the rather flimsy plastic window frames to split and allow water into cabin.
This over time will discolour interior fabric and trim.Fairly easy job to remove windows and reseal with good quality sealant.Prob needs doing ASAP if only to stop water dripping onto bedding.

Hi, yes and thankyou. Quite agree,its only a small amount of water but still won't do the boat any good over time and yes, it is making the cushions wet so needs sorting.
I work in construction so have quite a good head on my shoulders for this(hopefully) I've bought a tube of decent Dowcorning,sanitry type with added flexability,so i'm hoping its a fairly straight forward job of unscrewing the window,cleaning the surround of existing material, fresh bead of silicone and screw back,bingo!!!. Same also applies to the compass out on top deck,believe this may also be leaking.
