Anyone else remember this? There was one afloat at the Southampton show in 1973 next to the Fairey Fantome. It made a big impact on an impressionable teenager. It was sleek and hugely broad beam - 11 feet on a 31 foot length. There was an advert in the 14th September 1973 MBY - the one with the great group test to Cherbourg of the Fantome, Laguna etc. Reg Freeman was also the builder of the Seadog motor sailor. They offered four versions including deck saloon and flying bridge but the boats at the show and in the advert were both open cockpit sports cruisers.

I own Seahound of Brixham with a friend and have done for the last 13 years, moored in Southampton. She has gone through extensive renovations since we have had her attempting to keep her as original as possible apart from re engining her with a pair of Cummins 210 6Bts, which was a great success. We believe she is the last of 8 made still in the UK. We know of one still being used by a fisherman in Finland and one sold after a full renovation in Amsterdam and shipped to Italy about fifteen years ago. Give me a shout if you want to know more.

Yes she is still ours at the moment but we are in the process of selling her.
