Refill Diesel France or Spain

Hi formites
We are currently on the South of France Med coast, slowly heading towards Spain.
Is there any significant price / tax reasons where we refuel?
in France before crossing over into Spain
or
wait until we are in Spain to refuel,
or
are the differences in price/tax just not worth worrying about?

Spain is cheaper than France but marina prices are a lot more than supermarket/service stations.

Have only got a slow 33 ft motor boat, Africa looks a bit too far to go.
