we are thinking of fitting lazy jacks; however leafing through an old sailing mag found an article refering to a 'lazy edward' which is a short line about 2' long attached to the first reef cringle on the main and the topping lift. the idea being that the main can be dropped into the first fold of the main and then properly packed away after anchoring. anyone used this system please?

We created our own lazy jacks. No need to buy an expensive system. Just a couple of lines afterall. I like the Edward idea however. Do you have a picture you can e-mail? I can send you a picture of our home made lazy jacks if you are interested
