I noticed on Reeds website that they’re discontinuing their digital iPad almanac from 31/8 this year. Anyone know why? I find it v useful and having used it in anger for 4 months Brittany cruising last summer I found it easier and faster than the paper version (which I also had on board: don’t ask).
Because it downloaded to the device you don’t need an internet connection to use it - and having tides, ports, sailing notes etc in one lace together with phone numbers and vhf channels was brilliant. What a retrograde step!
Most importantly is there a workable alternative? What do others use or am I alone I’m wanting a digital almanac?
