redbox software upgrade

For any of you with a redbox from mailasail, you will have received Ed's email with instructions how to upgrade the software. I found pressing the reset button very fiddly, so removed the lid, drilled the hole out using a 2.5mm drill, and was then able to use a standard wooden toothpick to press the button. Hope this tip helps you.

Thanks for posting the notice! Yes, new software for the RedBox 3g/wifi router is now available!

As an aside, if anyone has bought one of the Apple iDevices (I think a few have been sold, but perhaps the odd person here owns an iphone/ipod...), then you will notice you get exactly the same hole. However, there is what we can really only describe as a "fancy bent paperclip" supplied in the box...

We have some promotional fancy paperclips.... I had wondered if we should supply one in the box with every router...

Personally it felt like supplying a bent paperclip in a fancy box. However, apple shipped some 100 million+ of them last year, so perhaps not..?
