Has anybody tried it since it reopened? For the extra walk it might make a better food option than the Butt - although the view over a pint of bitter will always be better in Pin Mill.

The website is useless - any idea which of the many 'phone numbers that come up if you 'google' it might actually be right?

Is the beer cheaper? Paid £3.80 for a pint of Broadsides at the Butt.

It is a restaurant rather than a pub with food, we have been once with friends, most thought the food and ambience were excellent, the one dissenter is a Scot who felt he did not get value for money.

We know of many local people who have been several times and say the food is excellent.

It is not cheap though, good restaurant prices rather than pub. I don't know about the beer, my impression was that there were no pumps on the bar, there certainly isn't what you could call a bar area just for drinkers.

Peter - I suspect PMSC and RHYC are the local solutions to your problem.... If the clubs cannot sell beer cheaper than the Butt then they are doing something wrong! The new menu at RH is not bad either.

Agree with you re: the new menu, brilliant range and decent food. Not so convinced on the price of beer though!
