Hello Ive recently inherited a redbay fast fisher. its 16.6.
I have zero knowledge about boats took me 5 attempts to register with the random boat question.
took the family out the other day we were zooming along when the rear of the boat appeared to be filling up with water. i dont think it came from the sea Im pretty sure it came from a couple holes in the floor, theres a gap between the floor and the hull. I bailed it out and no more came in,
whats under the floor is it just a cavity, could there be more water lurking and whats the easiest way to remove it. Ive sorted the engine runs like new, the transoms been tidied, replaced the windows and Ive filled/fiberglassed odd cracks and old screw holes so Im nearly there but being clueless on this is holding the project up.
thanks

It sounds like it might just be accumulated rainwater/condensation/spillage. Did you taste it by any chance? To get rid of it, take up all the floorboards you can and sponge or siphon it out, then leave open to dry.
You might get a more knowledgeable reply on the Motor Boat forum. Mostly sailors here.
