According to their website the red arrows were doing a display in Hull yesterday which is funny because I could have sworn I saw them doing all their smoke and stuff as I was coming out of the Beaulieu river about 17:30 yesterday (sunday 13th) They were off my starboard I thought about Lymington/Yarmouth area.

Any one else see them and know why they were down here and not with the fish filleters?

and what a cracking show it was - just before the start of the Round the World Clipper Race

Hull - Solent must be only 1-2 hour at cruising speed for a red arrow :p I think they also attended the Scuttlebutt forum meet over the weekend too in cherb.

They were booked by an individual in Lymington for a private party.

Crikey! some party! I had heard that if you are having a do and it is on their flight path to their main event they will put on a bit of a show on the way past but to come all the way down from Hull to Lymington is quite a de-tour.

Red Arrows

According to the Bournemouth Echo they displayed at Charles Burnett's party to celebrate his steam car world record and that he gave £60K to Help for Heroes as payment ...

Yes cracking Red Arrows show in Hull.
We were out on the river so had a superb view of the display which centred over the river and then the tour past & start of the clipper race.
Was along wait to lock back in though and took two hours to shake off the wind chill after six hours out. Had to dust off the weather gear after two seasons in Mallorca !!!
Memorable day though.

It feels that long sometimes :D

Part of my job involves giving them an Air Traffic service to and from places. Wasn't on shift this sunday gone but the transit would have only taken 30 mins or so Hull to Lymington.

The route they'd have taken probably was around 200nm ish. At altitude cruising somewhere between 6 and 7 miles a minute I'll let you do the math ;)
