Yesterday I replaced for aquasignal emergency strobe in our lifejackets. They were reaching their use by date and we have an MCA survey next month. It seemed a pity to throw them away as they function very well and give nice bright lights.

So we are using them as additional bike lights - setting them off by wrapping them in a bit of tissue moistened with salty water.

Anyone have any alternative uses?

when the batteries have exhausted, drop them into the nearest school physics dept. Some bright spark might like to take them to pieces, and rewire to an external battery and switch.
