Recycling a PE dinghy

I've got an elderly (15-20 yo) Bic 245 dinghy made of HDPE. The years of UV have resulted in the outer layer becoming a bit crumbly. I'm not too bothered about its appearance but I don't want to add to the amount of micro-plastics in the sea. Has anyone ever disposed / recycled a PE dinghy and, if so, were you able to do so in an environmentally friendly way.

I would take it to the local tip and it would go in the bin that is sent for inceration In my area. Might mean cutting it up if it is one of those moulded dinghys.
