Just been doing some repainting. I've got a couple of small areas where I didn't get the surface quite fair and have a couple of small depressions. Thought it wouldn't matter but it looks quite bad to me now it's glossy and almost finished. I'm thinking of repairing by filling and fairing but concerned I'll finish up with rings of filler showing after I rub down the repair after painting. I'm using 2 pack PU. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to do this. I was wondering if its possible to add some microfibres or other thickener to the 2 pack. I had to do a repair once before and seemed to be forever chasing a discouloured ring at the interface. Any tips appreciated.

Mixing colloidal silica with the two pack worked a treat. It cured nicely overnight. Not the easiest to rub down but the blemishes are invisible now without the need for another coat of paint.
