Recommendations sought - angle grinder

For slab cutting I bought one of these, mainly because it had soft start and came supplied with a diamond disc. http://www.ukhs.tv/Tools/Power-Tools/Wolf-2300w-9-Angle-Grinder The original diamond blade supplied with it has cut through a large number of concrete slabs used to relay a big patio, and the extra disk that I bought elsewhere remains unused. I tried diamond discs in a 115mm angle grinder and it struggled to do anything more than cut shallow grooves in the hard concrete, whilst rapidly wearing the discs.

Get a visor. About £7. Those bits that fly up and hit your face don't half hurt.

Thanks All. seems there's lots of potential for dressing up when using these properly :)
Lots of good ideas and things to watch for. the slabs are only 5cm thick - I'm replacing inserts set into steps to overcome dishing due to 200yrs of foot traffic and ther are only three to cut down, so not worth buying a big grinder for - i may look to borrow or hire one for the job.
If i do decide to buy one, I'll treat it separately from a polisher and get something specifically for that job or resign myself to long days of mind-numbing effort. Up to now I've always been able to sort things on the boats without recourse to a grinder but i'll be liveaboard from end of next year and thinking that having one along would be useful.
cheers
Dave
