Recommendations northern Italy.

It's Thursday night and we are on our way to Ancona for the ferry to Greece.
We have done this trip a few times, we are in a campervan and have spent one week getting to Austria.
Tonight and tomorrow we are in Lienz Austria.
for Saturday and Sunday night we would like to book into a hotel/apartment.
Northern Italy but not a resort, maybe one of the small hill towns we've passed before.
Can anyone recommend a town with some life and eating places for two nights.

Stresa, Hotel La Palma not sure if you'd call that a resort. Bardolino or Desenzano on Lake Garda. Just noticed the date on your post, you've probably decided by now.

Yes we are in Valeggio sul Mincio, Italy.
