Recommendations for Web Picture Hosts

Looking for a suitably boaty environment in cyberspace onto which I can upload photos and then create links to them from elsewhere.

Photobucket's the one. They allow linking and images up to 512kb on the free version.

Most of the "boaty" sites limit use of the photos to that particular site. For a general host the subscription outfits will have fewer restrictions than the freebies. When I surveyed subscription sites I was most impressed with ImageEvent. However, in the end I opted for a personal website instead. Here is a thread on another site that talks about photo hosts -
