I would be interested to get your input on what types of boat I might consider for my next purchase

Outline spec is 2 to 4 berth, coastal sailing only, sea-kindly, able to take the ground, decent sailing performance, trailable (with difficulty acceptable)

All suggestions most welcome

Think you need to be a little more spacific particularly budget and the use you want to put her to.

If it's quick cruising/racing where you don't mind getting wet and you are 4ft tall then for less than 5 grand you could do a lot worse than an E Boat, then again I may be biased. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Budget is perhaps the most important factor - how much is available?
If you can establish as many important constraints as possible (curtain colours are not so important, they can easily be changed!) then you should be able to narrow down your list of possibles.

Try also doing searches on www.yachtworld.com and www.boatshed.com by typing in some basic criteria, and see what turns up.

Westerly 25 with diesel inboard engine - I have sailed mine round most of Uk and motored cross country coast to coast on various rivers / canals. Bilge keel, draft less than 1 m, very solid, and inexpensive.
