Y Yacht are excellent, dealt effectively with me when I bought a project in bits.
For survey, call Rob Bingham. He does loads of old mobo's.

I'm with Y Yacht on my 60 yr old gaffer, good policy but I've never claimed. Survey required.
Was with East coast Mutual before, a non profit organisation.
That was a 40 yr old Hurley 24', no survey required including foreign cruising. They are geared up for the smaller vessels and offer very good rates, not having a posh office but administered by a nice lady from her front room in Danbury. Then again, I never claimed off them either which is the proof of the pudding.

I claimed for a new boom within weeks of first joining East Mutual. But I have never made a claim in the 12 years since then so I hope they have recovered the cost by now!
