Hi,

Just bought a Honwave T2.4 air deck dinghy, and would also like an electric air pump to speed-up inflation.

Can anyone recommend such a pump?

Cheers, Allan

Ive got the Bravo 2 pump and it inflate my zodiac 2.85 with inflatable keel in about 3 mins. I also use it to deflate as a well to make packing the dinghy easier.

Another vote for the bravo pump.

There are only a few electric pumps on the market that can currently work to the required pressure for Airdecks/air ribs .
The LVM and even some old stock early Bravo pumps will not have enough power to produce the correct pressure so unless you want to finish off with a foot pump you need a new Bravo, check the psi required as shown on your air deck and check the pump spec before you buy ( its only the latest Bravo that are any good).

that said one of these is by far the quickest inflation time and just a few foot pumps are required to full pressure.

(need to open the valves for quickest inflation time)

I use a stirrup type manual pump which inflates on both the up and down stroke. Really quick, a world apart from foot pumps. If you haven't used one give it a go, it might save you messing about plugging an electric one in an waiting around for it to inflate.

Henry :(

I bought an Intec pump for £10 on Ebay. It pumps up my Tohatsu 2.6 m dinghy in about 5 minutes, for two separate chambers.
If I m feeling fastidious I us hand pump to make the tubes rock hard, but most the time we dont bother

It all depends whether you want the pump to completely inflate the dinghy. If you do then the Bravo is the only option, beacuse its a two stage pump that starts with high volume, low pressure, then switches to low volume, high pressure.

If you don't mind using a foot pump to top up the tubes then any decent quality pump will do. The LVM will blow up the tubes to a useable pressure, but not to full pressure, and wont even get close for the air deck.

Many thanks for all your suggestions, guys.........I'm off to SIBS tomorrow, so I shall take a look to see what's available.

I've had an LVM for atleast 5 yrs and have never had to top the tubes/airdeck up manually.
Mind you I blow the dinghy up in the Spring when it's cool, so everything firms up even further when it gets warmer. Never seem to have to add any air during the season. This is with a Lodestar 220 dinghy, which has also lasted well.
