Recommendation for YM Theory - Central London?

I'm thinking about doing my YM theory over this winter.

I live on the south coast bu work in central London so not normally back until 8pm so too later for regular night school.

A freind recommended Paul Bute (?) at Capital Sailing although I see they've recently been taken over by OnDeck. (Not that I have any issue with OnDeck - I've just completed a DS practical refresher with them).

I quite like the idea of one evening a week over a number of weeks plus a weekend or two rather than two dozen evenings.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

cant remember who it was run by, but several RYA courses on that night, held somewhere near Aldgate, if that helps track it down.
I think we spent as much time in the pub, as the classroom.. I was the only one on power, not that it mattered much. Few hours homework each week, whether it be reading or chartwork. Apart from the actual coursework, it was the knowledge of the lecturer and his anecdotes that made the evenings ...
 
Cruising Association at Limehouse Basin, 2 stops on the DLR, do YM courses throughout the Winter. I don't think you have to be a member to do the courses, but you may have to pay a little more than members! office@cruising.org.uk should get you the details.
 
Little Ship Club off Upper Thames Street -they run every sort of RYA course over a winter; but you do have to join the club. First class training and a decent crowd of folks of all ages and types.

Thanks for the tip - London Corinthian only do three weekends or 24 evenings. AS I contractor, I know I'm working in the City 'til December but not yet sure about next year. Hence my preference for a mixture of evenings + one weekend.

cataline1 - First Class looks interesting and have the kind of schedule I'm looking for. Is your recommendation based on personal experience?

Kurrawong Kid - I've heard good things about the Cruising Association but as with London Corinthian I would struggle to fit with their schedules.

TudorDoc - thanks for suggestion, not convinced about online. I enjoy the interaction with other sailing types as much as the course itself. Besides, I'm a lazy barsteward and would probably never finish that way :-)

david36 - LSC looks interesting, the course dates and for 2008/9 but I will get in touch to see what they have planned this year.
