After fitting a fridge (worth it for cold beers alone) I got paranoid about battery drain so fitted a Clipper Battery Monitor. Not difficult to fit, and does exactly what it says on the tin. Only possible criticism is that the design is a bit chunky. It's the cat's night attire as far as I'm concerned.

What fridge ... etc. etc.

Re: Fridge ....

Apologies for delayed reply.

It's the Isotherm GE80. £260 from Aladdins Cave for the kit conprising compressor, plate and controls. Not difficult to fit, despite dodgy Italian instructions. Very, very quite when running.

Now the tricky bit. I only ran it for a while after I got the battery monitor fitted, so I can't give you much idea of consumption over a period. You'd obviously need to do this since it cycles on and off. However, when running, it took about 3 amps. The spec quotes an average of 0.65A That might be just about believeable, but I'm budgeting for an average of 1 amp/hr.
