Can anyone recommend someone to put a teak deck into the cockpit of 37ft cruiser? – Any recommendations.

Hoped to find someone relatively local between Portsmouth and Chichester area if poss?

What should I be looking for apart from a couple of references – are there any pitfalls to watch out for?

Thanks all.

Tek-Dek is easy to install, should be able to do it yourself.

There's a place in Poole, I think, but best bet is to contact the people that Fairline use. The teak comes ready to lay in complete panels, and is guaranteed to fit, cos it was made for the factory. Then get JS Mouldings (www.grpboatrepairs.co.uk) to fit it. I think that it gets made by an outfit called Watson's.

I recently bought a 4 year old Nimbus and the owner had the laminated "teak look" original replaced with real teak.
I believe the job was done at Berthons, Lymington. Not cheap but superbly done. Believe me you can definitely tell the difference between real and immitation, good as the immitation is.
